E i Naturals Beet Pink food Colour is derived from extracting the active Betanin from Beet root. The chemical adipic acid rarely occurs in nature, but happens to occur naturally in beetroot. It is a rather stable colourant for products with 2 - 5 pH range. It has a mild flavour characteristic to beet root. It is best stored in frozen form away from light. It has a longer lifespan if stored under -18 °C. Acidic conditions brighten the colour.
